Isopropanol is ideally suited as a printhead cleaner for HP45-compatible cartridges using solvent-based ink. Thanks to its chemical properties, it removes stubborn ink residues and contaminants that can clog the printhead. Because it evaporates quickly and completely without leaving any residue, the printhead is rapidly ready for use again. It helps improve print quality and extend cartridge lifespan by clearing deposits from the fine nozzles.

Isopropanol (IPA), also known as isopropyl alcohol, is an organic solvent with the chemical formula C₃H₈O. It belongs to the group of secondary alcohols and is composed of carbon, hydrogen, and oxygen.

Isopropanol is used in many areas, primarily due to its cleaning and disinfecting properties. It is frequently used to clean surfaces in households, laboratories, and industrial settings. In the electronics industry, it is a popular agent for removing grease and dirt from sensitive equipment, such as circuit boards or displays. In medicine and cosmetics, it serves as a disinfectant and an ingredient in skincare products. Isopropanol is also used as a solvent in paints, varnishes, and printing inks, as well as an antifreeze agent. We use isopropanol as a cleaning agent for the printheads of our ink cartridges.
