Labels featuring a three-part split (via security perforation or cuts) serve as security labels and effectively prevent customers from swapping labels. The split design makes it virtually impossible for thieves or fraudsters to remove a label and reapply it unnoticed to a different product.

The lines shown here in red represent cuts or perforations in the label paper. Once applied to the merchandise, the label cannot be cleanly removed and reapplied to another item—such as a more expensive one. Any attempt at tampering is immediately exposed, creating a significant deterrent for fraudsters and thieves.

These three-section security labels (26x12 mm) are designed for use with "contact" brand hand-held labelers (models 6.26, 8.26, 10.26), Meto (526, 626, 826, 1026), and Tovel (K5, K6, K8, K10). Many other 26x12 mm price labelers—such as those from Blitz, Etimark, Jolly, Open, Smart, etc.—also accommodate this label format.
